The Dream Jam Band
The Dream Jam Band are five musicians from the Northeast who write and play an eclectic collection of original music for children of all ages young and old. Their influences range from The Beatles to Mozart from Duke Ellington to Woody Guthrie. When asked how to describe The Dream Jam Band’s music, one member said: “A Marx Brothers movie that you can dance to.”
Francine (Francine Wheeler)
Francine is a singer, actress, songwriter and teacher who has designed music and movement programs for babies and preschoolers. A performer since grade school, she has worked in regional theatre and New York theatre and has charmed audiences from Shakespeare to musicals to animation. In The Dream Jam Band, Francine’s beautiful voice moves poignantly from traditional folk and rock-inspired songs to Mozart.
Maestro C (Frank Corrado)
Called “maestro” by his fellow band members, Frank is a multi-instrumentalist and much loved music teacher. He plays bass, keyboards, saxophone, guitar, flute and clarinet and is an accomplished songwriter. His essential musicality inspires The Dream Jam Band.
Barry (Barry Gellert)
Barry started teaching himself guitar at the age of 11 and later became a music teacher. He plays lead guitar and bass. His guitar virtuosity is one of the engines that drives The Dream Jam Band and his singing and songwriting are joyous elements in it’s fabric.
Erin the Red (Erin)
She is Erin the Red. She sings and writes and plays a lot of instruments, like harp, bass, piano, guitar, sax, flute, fiddle, accordion and drums. But her favorite is the harp, “cause it’s so cool!!” A multi-talented artist, Erin has appeared on Broadway, television and works with great musicians like Cyndi Lauper, Kanye West and Randy Newman. She brings unique colors to the Dream Jam Band sound.
J.J. Clarke
J.J. was bound to be a drummer. According to her mother, she kicked and moved around a lot, even before she was born. JJ believes that it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, anyone can play the drums! All you need is a passion for music, a love of the instrument and the determination to make your dreams come true!
